Kapoho Land of volcano flows and snorkeling 4 minutes from our home Big Island HawaiiKapoho Tidepools 125 3bd 2350sqft

Aloha New York.
My name is Darryl Sparky Herzon. Grand Nephew to the late Al Hirschfeld. With the help from my late Uncle and My Mom, We were able to complete, my son and I , our incredible “Mini Mansion”, in a small oceanside community called “Vacationland”. Lousy name, but, Vacationland is surrounded by papaya and orchid ranches, umbrella covered rainforest coastal drives. You’ll pass by warm ponds of Ahalauni, Kehena Black sand beach, Mckenzie State Park, Pohiki Bay, and, we’re literally 30 minutes drive from the on going Kilahuea Vocanic lava flow, as seen on promotional ads for Travelocity. You know, the one where the small boat sits just off the Hawaiian coastline as the Lava pours into the ocean. Yep. right about there, just 30 minutes east, you’ll find our oceanside community with the Best, and I mean the best and largest snorkeling reserve on the big Island. These tidepools are amazing. Created by ancient lava flows, our tidepools are a mile in length and about 300 yards deep. I can’t tell you how many pools there are, exactly, but you can just put your arms out, put on a mask and snorkel, and, at high tides just float endlessly from one interconnected pool to the next. Some are deep, some are shallow, but our reserve, called the Wai OPea Marine Wildlife Sanctuary, is un-endangered and all pools are loaded with all different varieties of Hawaiian tropical fish, corals of all shapes, colors and sizes, and even the Hawaiian Green Seaturtles make their homes in the Kapoho tidepools marine reserve.
Our home is seriously, just a four minute walk from the tidepools. Our block is mostly comprised of all new custom homes that are lived in and not used as vacation rentals. There’s six homes on our side of the block and three on the other side. Our community is lush, tropical with coconut trees everywhere, all homes are beautifully landscaped. It’s literally a paradise at the end of the world.
My son and I built our home. We offer eveyone a beautiful custom built three bedroom two bath home. It sits 14 feet off the ground and rises to a height of 32 feet at the top of the cupala.
We have all tile floors, nicely furnished with furniture from bora bora. Full open kitchen with all appliances. Coffee maker, micro, etc. All cookware, and of course we supply all towels, linens, cable tv, surround sound in the cupala, free phone calling to the mainland, Yes we have INTERNET, even at the end of the world.
We are nicely landscaped, beautiful lawns, jungle surrounds the back and one side of our home, and there’s an upstairs wrap around walkway that is covered by our white pine ceilings. We have a matching two car garage. Way overbuilt, a custom gable roof design to allow my family and guests to climb our easy handicap stairway, without ever getting a drop of rain. We have a large covered by our ceilings, lanai. A star view terrace, and in the rear of the house, a very nice ocean view. We are 500 feet from the ocean. You can sit on the lanai, especially in the evenings, listen to the coqui frogs and the pounding ocean, while viewing stars that you can pluck out of the sky. The milky way is right overhead. The easterly tradewinds blow gently, and sometimes not so gently, right into our home, right off the Pacific.
We have a master bedroom with a private bathroom, inside you’ll find a 23 foot, floor to ceiling cupala with 12 windows to let in the Hawaiian sun. Open kitchen, dining room windows fold into a sail effect, channeling the Easterly trades right into the house.
Nice second bathroom.
All bedrooms have glass slider doors leading out to the wrap around lanais.
If this sounds like somewhere you’d like to discover, and believe me, not many have ever heard of Kapoho, but, the Big Island is becoming quite the attraction recently, due to the ongoing Kilahuea eruptions. We’re one hour from Volcano national park.
In closing, many folks prefer Kona. Konas’ fun, lots of hotels, boardwalk shopping, some sandy beaches, especially up North. But know that Kona is not the lush side of the Island. Kona is on the West side of the Island, we’re on the South East ocean point. About 3 hours from Kona. Maybe 2 1/2, if you take the Waimea route. Longer if you take the volcanos route.
And, now we have the saddleback road that is a short cut over the Island.

You can reach me at 661-944-5044. This is my home, not an office, in Los Angeles. I’m usually home and we’re three hours behind you. So, call most anytime. I’ll be more than happy to take all the time you need, to answer all your questions about the Islands.
Is this a legitimate ad? YES. I’m licensed and registered with the state. I am even represented by “LOCAL HAWAIIAN REALESTATE”. Hilo Hawaii. My property manager, who is actually my best friend and lives just around the corner from us is Winston Churchill. I kid you not. And, yes there is a relation. Winston can be reached at 808-960-1926. This is his cell phone, but, he answers most of the time. Hawaii, right now is six hours behind you.
I rent our home all year long. I do not increase rates during holidays, I can book up to one year in advance with a $100 dollar good faith holding deposit. I never ask for another dime until two weeks prior to travel. Then, we only request one half your vacation be paid for and the balance can be paid upon arrival at the house. Winston will greet you, take final payment and give you a tour. He’s awesome. Everyone loves Winston.
Our home is three years new. It’s actual sq. footage is 4350. But, know this. We never rent downstairs. I use it strictly as storage area. Never be concerned, with my home, about sharing with another family.
Coming to Hawaii, from New York, is expensive. I always suggest, if you can, staying for at least 10 days. Why 10 days? Because, you’ve spent a fortune to fly. You spend one long long day traveling. Up and raring to go the next day lol. One day to fly home. So, if you can only stay a week, it just flies by. Ten days actually allows you to travel, discover, and RELAX. It’s a slow slow slow pace, here in Hawaii.

You can email me and I’ll send over my kodack photo gallery. You can view my new website at www.kapoho-kahonua-hale.com. click on sightseeing and view Ahalauni, kehena, champaign ponds, kapoho tidepools and so many more UTUBE videos.
