We are in the heart of the Green Mountains between Killington and Stratton/Bromley. We have beautiful (spectacular!!) views off to the west and northwest (great sunsets). Our cottage sits on a hill surrounded by stately maples and open pastures. It sits at 2100 feet above sea level and overlooks a lake with a 75 mile view across the mountains of Vermont and into New York State (we see the highest mountain in NY). We are one mile from Star Lake which has a beach and boat access. The cottage is very private being surrounded by 180 acres of our land, and hundreds more acres of friends, family and the State of Vermont. We have our own trail network for hiking, snowshoeing and xc skiing, and there’s lots of other hiking all around the town and local area. On our land across the road from the cottage there are four beaver ponds that string along a brook that runs into Star Lake.

Although private, this house is in the heart of the Vermont ski and tourist area so there are lots of restaurants, shops, and activities within 5 to 10 miles (Mt. Holly, Ludlow, Weston, etc.)

Well, we’re finally making the difficult transition ‘back to the land called work’ after our awesome visit to your ‘bit of heaven on earth’. What a perfect way for us to have celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Hey, we may not have spotted your neighborhood moose, but he was tracking us!! The upstairs Master Bedroom, with Flat-Screen TV, has a queen-size bed and its own ensuite bathroom with enclosed tub and His and Hers Sinks. Downstairs is another bright bedroom, also with queen-size accommodation, as well as an entertainment room with a second television and a sofa that folds out to a double bed. Each of the bedrooms has 5 windows, which with their European hardware can be opened in the tradition way or cracked from the top, and a Ceiling Fan, for cooling or fresh air options with the evening breeze. Swedish built-in shelving systems framed in pine and spacious closets are in each of the bedrooms.

The rocking chairs on the front porch are only 5 feet away from the bird bath where the robins and catbirds come to drink and bathe. The back deck is the perfect place to relax in your lounge chairs at the end of the day, with a glass of wine from the local vineyards, to watch the sun set behind the trees that are in the wooded green belt that runs behind our property. Walk barefoot on the lawn, as there are no outside or inside pesticides used.

The spacious enclosed outdoor shower is only a couple of walking stones away, with an oversize head and plenty of water pressure to massage your body after a day of shopping or playing. Boogie boards and beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are here for your family’s use. A Gas Grill and Wireless Internet are also provided.

Centrally located in the Hamptons – seven minute drive to either of East Hampton, Sag Harbor, or Bridgehampton – and only 60 seconds from Montauk Highway. Bike ride to beach and winery tastings. Easily accessible to hiking/mountain-biking trails and tennis courts.

The perfect beach house…Open, breezy, nice enough that you want to keep it nice but laid back enough that you can run through it with wet, bare feet. We had an AMAZING Summer 2010 in this house! Our house is a 3500 sq ft 5bdrm, 3.5bth, rustic feeling home with modern amenities throughout. Situated on an acre,its a 5 min walk to the beach complete with a huge pool, hot tub, WIFI and of course super fun people. It’s a small share; only 10-12 people a weekend. We like to BBQ and drink by the pool, and head out to dinner and some bars at night. It’s a very laid back 30 somethings manhattanites house. All of our members are young professionals and everyone is very open and friendly. We have a few spots open so let us know if you are interested. We are in the heart of the Green Mountains between Killington and Stratton/Bromley. We have beautiful (spectacular!!) views off to the west and northwest (great sunsets). Our cottage sits on a hill surrounded by stately maples and open pastures. It sits at 2100 feet above sea level and overlooks a lake with a 75 mile view across the mountains of Vermont and into New York State (we see the highest mountain in NY). We are one mile from Star Lake which has a beach and boat access. The cottage is very private being surrounded by 180 acres of our land, and hundreds more acres of friends, family and the State of Vermont. We have our own trail network for hiking, snowshoeing and xc skiing, and there’s lots of other hiking all around the town and local area. On our land across the road from the cottage there are four beaver ponds that string along a brook that runs into Star Lake.

….. and we have a moose that visits every now and then [EMAIL us for this picture and many others].

Although private, this house is in the heart of the Vermont ski and tourist area so there are lots of restaurants, shops, and activities within 5 to 10 miles (Mt. Holly, Ludlow, Weston, etc.)

From dishes to linen to a grill it was there if we needed it. We really appreciated having the nice booklet you prepared with information on all the things to do in the area.
We went to Bailey’s Island and had dinner at Cooks Lobster House which was amazing. It was about a 20 minute ride and it was so picturesque to have a Lobster dinner at sunset with all of the boats coming and going. We also spent a day in Portland. Plenty of funky gift shops, restaurants and tours, etc. We also spent one afternoon and just walked up to downtown Brunswick and enjoyed exploring the shops. Such a great location to stay in. Twenty minutes this way or that way and you can find plenty to do. Or just spending time around the adorable house and yard with hot tub and outdoor grill is equally enjoyable!! The customer service I recieved was astounding! Found this place online at midnight Friday night and was able to reserve it all through email and text by Sun. Very flexible allowing us in early and out late. BEAUTIFUL house allowed me to relax unlike a hotel! If I come back to Brunswick, this is the ONLY place I will stay!

After a 3 hour drive with two exhausted kids, we were delighted to feel so welcomed in a beautiful cozy home. The kids as well as ourselves instantly fell in love house. Its extremely clean, relaxing and definately kid friendly. We have the typical complaining children who get bored easily and they never once said they were bored. From the tvs throughout the house, the stocked childrens dvds, to the games and even rockband, it kept us very entertained. We fell in love with the area and definately plan on going back in the near future. Adults…. on top of this great house, after a long day with the kids, it was awesome being able to wind down in the hot tub. This is a 5 star rental in our opinion and we will definately be back!!!!

“What a beautiful home!! Our stay was absolutley perfect and the many amenities of the house were outstanding. With 7 people staying (5 kids from 7 to 15…two girls and three boys) and two adults, we needed a lot of room and lots of distrations…this house fit the bill in perfect fashion. We brought Christmas decorations from home to make it feel more like home but the decorating you did was already perfect…including the beautiful real tree!! The girls especially liked the huge princess frog on the bed in their room! The house decor is charming and warm and that hot tub is fabulous. The proximity of the house to downtown was excellent…we walked to church on Christmas eve which made it that much more special. The champagne and goodies you left out were ideal on Christmas day…the kids enjoyed the chocolates and cookies and the adults loved the bubbly! Such a nice touch. We just wanted to say that we really loved your house! What a great deal. So much better than being crammed into two hotels rooms and paying more! It was so convenient to be right downtown and we especially loved the private hot tub. Fortunately we had superb weather and soaked up the sun while in the tub. What a great stay. We’ve rented many homes before but were so pleased to have everything included. We have to say that the place was extremely clean and fresh for our arrival. Making the reservation was extremely quick and easy. We walked downtown several times, so much to do! We tried out your skates at the free out door rink, checked out a movie at the Tontine mall..also a film at the frontier and really loved Little Tokyo and Lilly’s restaurants right on Maine St.
