“Summerlit” as this house is called is a wonderful rental, on a wonderful street near the ocean and town but with all the privacy and summer sensation that you need. Look at the website www.summerlit.com for more information but basically speaking the classic shingle house with simple shaby shic interior has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, decks overlooking the Shadmore canopy (the beuatiful birds abound) and more distant ocean. Very light (despite the one shadowy picture below), open and airy, the house captures the wonderful Montauk summer breezes and is set up as an upside down house suitable for quality family time. Of course there is internet access, nice sheets and the like. We recommend the outdoor shower or sitting out on one of the 2 decks at night listening to the ocean (and sometimes catching a glimse of the light house well east).

The house is avaiable year round and is especially nice between late July and Thanksgiving. (The house is not available between June 7 and July 18th). The rate is $4500/week for hgh summer season through Labor Day, $2000/week in September, and $1500/week October and for Holiday weeks (Memorial Week into the first week of June would rent for $2400/week).
